P0344: Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit Intermittent
Can you still drive? Yes, but be aware the engine could stall intermittently. Replace the sensor sooner rather than later to avoid being stranded.
What Does P0344 Mean?
Code P0344 indicates the ECM has detected intermittent signal dropouts from the camshaft position sensor. The sensor signal may be erratic due to a loose connection, a thermal-sensitive sensor, or a damaged tone ring. Intermittent faults are notoriously difficult to reproduce during shop diagnosis.
Need to read your codes?
An OBD-II scanner lets you read and clear diagnostic trouble codes from your vehicle's computer. Most scanners work with any car made after 1996.
