P0321: Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Range/Performance

ModeratePowertrainDIY: Advanced

Can you still drive? You can drive cautiously, but the engine may stall unexpectedly. Avoid highway driving until the sensor circuit is repaired.

What Does P0321 Mean?

Code P0321 is set when the ECM determines that the engine speed signal from the ignition or distributor module is erratic or outside the expected range. The ECM uses this signal for fuel injection timing and ignition control, so an unreliable signal causes poor engine performance.
